Battery chargers
A battery charger has become as indispensable as the devices
and batteries it powers. Without a charger, your cell phone and laptop
batteries will last about 4 hours at the most.
The battery charger puts energy into the battery cell by forcing a
current into it. The amount of currents needed to charge any given battery
varies depending on size and strength of battery.
There are seven basic types of battery charger: simple, trickle, intelligent,
USB-based, timer-based, pulse, and fast. Some of these types provide
a constant current of DC-power, others use a timed charge, still others
monitor the state of the battery and send out a current to perfectly
charge the battery.
