Laptop batteries
Laptop batteries are excellent items to have when you are taking a long trip, but if you are flying there are a couple of things you should remember.
One of the most important things to remember if you are taking a long flight is that most laptop batteries do not have a very long life, 2-4 hours at the most. Bring spare charged batteries.
You should take into account that you will not be able to use your laptop for the duration of the flight. Typically you are not allowed to use electronic devices for the first 20-30 minutes and the last 20-30 minutes of a flight. This means you will use your battery about an hour less than the actual flight will be.
If you are worried that your laptop batteries will not last long enough, most laptops have battery-saving options that allow you to adjust the amount of energy being used by the laptop.
